Yitonía — γειτονιά — means neighbourhood in Greek. Every Thursday, Alatonero becomes the local gathering place. Live music, fireplace, drinks special, a warm Greek mulled wine and a sharing meat platter made for two.

Simple. Warm. Repeatable.

Meat Platter for two – $80

Our Locals Platter is $80 for two — Josper charcoal chicken, slow-roasted lamb shoulder and our house Greek sausage, all served with warm pita, a fresh salad and chips.

The perfect sharing plate for a relaxed Thursday night by the coast.

Live Music

From 6pm, enjoy live music with James Vincent playing an intimate acoustic set blending smooth jazz and soul — creating the perfect warm atmosphere inside by the fireplace.

Very friendly waitstaff who know the menu and how to relate. Excellent food but why not put oregano on the chips (which is traditional Greek) and for a rable of two serve entrees and mains at the same time rather than one plate at a time.

Fantastic food, delicious - saganaki, lamb souvlaki and ancient grain salad with chicken were the favourites Attentive service Lovely setting, busy, humming place right opposite the beach Only criticism is that it is very noisy inside, lots of hard surfaces and lots of tables made for a fair old racket, hard to hear people across the table. Grab a table outside behind the olive trees, under the vines. But that’s just a minor criticism, overall we really enjoyed dinner and we’ll be back 👍

Unfortunately our food suffered under what would have been a very busy kitchen. We went on the first day of 2025 The Saganaki was warm and hard, the zucchini fritters over cooked, fine on the inside but charged on the outside, as were the calamari, which were dry and spent. Even the prawns were over cooked with little plumpness or taste left under the overcooked string of pastry. The only dish that came out perfect were the Spanakopita Cigars Sophie, our waitress was 100% awesome. For the price we paid it is unfortunate that the kitchen this time, did not live up to its usual flair. Here's to a better dinning experience next time.
